In 2021, I also co-edited two important special issues that encapsulate my passion. The first was a Special Issue in the American Psychologist (AP; IF: 10.885) titled, “Are Asian Americans a Model or Marginalized Minority?” As the first one on Asian Americans in the AP, this Special Issue synthesized theory, research, and policy focused on Asian Americans and is a milestone. The second special section was coauthored by Dr. Tina Malti “On Specificity and Commonality: Sociocultural Generalizability and Social-Emotional Development” published in Child Development (IF:5.899), which brought together state-of-the-art papers focused on illustrating the specificity and commonality principles in the domain of social-emotional development and the implications for generalizability in child development findings.
